When the music just isn't enough
Many artists get stuck at the local level, and the main reason is because they don't have a sound that clearly identifies them.
While you can learn by watching 100 hours of Ableton YouTube videos, it's a lot easier and faster to learn from seasoned producers with hundreds of thousands of streams directly in a small classroom. With us, you'll get hands-on, real-time, and personalized feedback to make your sound fit your brand.
The program has 5 in-person weekly classes (3 hours each), and there will also be online support during the week. You'll also have access to the JSTDRMN Community, full of other talented producers based in Toronto!
At the end of this bootcamp, your track will be published on Spotify (and other streaming platforms) so you can show it to all of your fans, and start getting noticed by a global audience!

Yuzu is a multitalented musician, director, and educator dedicated to growth and community. With years of experience directing orchestras and Canada’s largest a cappella group, Yuzu has turned his attention to the EDM scene.
As an educator, Yuzu breaks music down to its core, tailoring lessons on the spot and prioritizing hands-on learning. His approach builds muscle memory, confidence, and results—helping students learn at least 4x faster than with traditional methods.

Production Bootcamp Sessions
Here's what we will be covering in each of the 5 weeks! Each in-person session will be ~3 hours.
Session 1: Percussion & Arrangement
Kick things off with the driver of every track: percussion. You’ll learn how to use percussive elements to build something groovy. You'll also learn to structure your ideas based on a reference song. By the end of the class, you will have a groovy percussion and an idea of overall song structure.
Session 2: Melody & Instrumentation
In this class, we will show you elements beyond percussion such as melodies, basslines, and pick out sounds and instruments that match your vision. You’ll leave knowing how to make ideas that pop, pick the sounds you are looking for and build melodies that are catchy.
Session 3: Composition & Audio Effects
In this class, we will teach you how to arrange entire sections of a song. We will show you how the different instruments and elements work together cohesively. We will then show you how to add effects that make your track pop or completely melt brains.
Session 4: Industry Secrets to Great Musical Ideas
Ever wonder why pro tracks hit different? In this class, we’ll reveal all the creative hacks used by the best in the scene. Think of it like cheat codes for turning inspiration into a complete banger. We will help you figure out what is a motif or musical idea that may be loved by many.
Session 5: Mixing & Mastering Your First Track
It’s polish time! Learn the basics and science behind mixing, mastering, then lock in on completing your very first original track. No more 8-bar loops sitting in your Ableton project, you’re walking away with something you can be proud to share with the world, whether through our JSTDRMN Label or self release.
Graduation: Track Release 🎉
Happy graduation! At the end of the bootcamp, we will publish your track through the JSTDRMN Label, and help you put together a basic release plan to tell all of your fans!
